I got a new camera this week. Yay for me! It's an Olympus EVOLT e-500 digital SLR. I got a good deal on it, too. I know it's not the equipment that makes a good photographer, but hopefully this new camera will help me to improve. I've taken a zillion shots with it already--all of them horrible--and I'm starting to figure out how the damn thing works. I won't get to go out and really use it the way I want at least until next weekend, but if the weather cooperates, I'll be able to snag a few shots at my mom's house on Sunday. Happy Mother's Day and all that jazz. I want to head back out to Hollywood Cemetery next weekend, and maybe out to Maymont Park. There's lots of beautiful things to see there,a nd hopefully I'll be able to take some photos that do them justice.
